GWS coach Alan McConnell has predicted a long career for Cookardinia's Alyce Parker after she picked up a game-high 24 possessions in Saturday's win over Richmond at Wagga's Robertson Oval.

After being tagged out of the match last weekend, the former Holbrook netballer returned to top form with a near best afield performance.
"She's going to be a great player," McConnell said.
"She's going to have a long career in the competition.
"She's had to learn some new skills ... but I thought today she was tough and hard and played her brand, and we're really proud of her."
Parker said she was pleased to play her role.
"I pulled up pretty well," Parker said.
"Obviously a win makes the bumps and bruises feel a little bit better.
"The team is in really good shape and we're looking forward to next week."
