Fencing For Fires co-ordinator Jamie Wolf said about 30 volunteers attended the Upper Murray component of Australia's Biggest Working Bee, with some travelling from Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.
Many of the workers had trade skills like plumbing, electrical, carpentry and boiler making.
"If anyone did have a problem on site that required a skill set, we had it covered," Mr Wolf said.
The group worked around Cudgewa, Tintaldra, Nariel and Corryong. Rapid Relief Team provided catering services.

Another working bee will be planned for April while the Fencing For Fires Facebook and GoFundMe pages will continue to seek donations.
"The satisfaction everyone got out of actually being there made them want to put up their hand for next time," Mr Wolf said.
"Once the word gets around what we're actually doing and what we achieved over the weekend, I'm sure we'll get more requests for assistance as well."
