Consumed by an overwhelming feeling of never belonging anywhere, days and nights are lived through a thick haze of drugs and alcohol.

Finding himself in the mountains of South East Asia, David is thrown an unlikely lifeline.

Offered a chance at redemption he will need to confront his inner demons, traumas and secrets long buried in his psyche to reclaim his life.

Presented direct from its premiere season at The Street, Canberra this new Australian work from writer/performer Peter Cook, exquisitely renders a heartbreaking story that opens the line between the seen, the unseen and the importance of belonging.

Australian Arts Review wrote: "Cook, in a tour de force performance, offers an unflinching portrayal of his character, authenticated by his own life experience. Often addressing the audience directly, his language is confronting and appropriately coarse."

Breaking The Castle is directed by Caroline Stacey with dramaturgy from Shelly Higgs, design from Imogen Keen, lighting design by Gerry Corcoran and sound design by Kimmo Vennonen
