ORGANISERS of the Red Hot Summer Tour are insisting their Wodonga concert will proceed next weekend, despite the coronavirus threat.

The show, featuring Hunters and Collectors, James Reyne, The Living End, Baby Animals, The Angels, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera, is slated for Gateway Island on Saturday March 21.
On a Facebook post on Thursday afternoon, organisers declared "the remaining Red Hot Summer shows will be going ahead as planned".
"The advice of the Commonwealth's Chief Medical Officer is that there is currently no material risk associated with attending a public gathering," they wrote.
"We, and the fabulous line-up of artists can't wait to get RED HOT (sic) with you!"
The post followed an announcement on Thursday that somebody who attended last weekend's Golden Plains Music Festival near Geelong has tested positive to coronavirus.
Indigo Shire mayor Jenny O'Connor tweeted that her son Liam, who lives in Melbourne, was among those who were at the festival.
He told his mother of the virus carrier: "It's not like you might have just brushed past them on the street, you were at a festival where your immune system (would) be trashed from partying and hygiene is like non-existent."
An alert was also issued for those at the Women's T20 Cricket World Cup final in Melbourne on Sunday after a patron tested positive to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Victorian government on Thursday stated a screening clinic had been set-up in Albury-Wodonga.
However, neither Health Minister Jenny Mikakos nor Albury Wodonga Health could provide any more details for Border Mail readers.
In south-west Victoria the Southern Grampians Council has warned people to stop stealing toilet paper from public amenities.
Albury, Wodonga, Indigo and Federation councils revealed they had no reports of toilet roll thefts.
