But first she will undergo a sentence assessment report.
Defence lawyer Laura Melhuish said a report could find that Huckstadt, who had been suffering from mental health issues, suitable for some community work.
"I think that's a good idea," Mr Funston replied.
"I will order a sentence assessment report."
The court was told how police received multiple calls on November 29 just before 4.30pm about a car in Holbrook in the area of Albury and Hay streets.
Police said they had further information that the driver was bleeding with a self-inflicted injury to her right arm, which they later saw when an officer looked into his rear-view mirror.
Eventually, Huckstadt was seen driving straight towards police at speed on Jingellic Road.
She swerved sharply to the right onto the incorrect side, heading straight towards the police vehicle that had to brake.
By now Huckstadt was driving at 80km/h in what was a 50km/h zone, while swerving sharply across the road.
The pursuit continued through Holbrook.
When eventually arrested by police, Huckstadt said she was "angry" because she had not been admitted to hospital to have treatment as a psychiatric patient.
