The station opened on Wednesday morning, with drivers who suspect they may have the virus tested in their cars.
There was no influx at the site, but a regular stream of drivers attended appointments every 15 minutes.
It takes about 10 minutes for drivers - who appeared to be mainly older residents - to undergo the tests at the Vermont Street site.
The entry is covered by security guards, and drivers must stop twice before they can access the testing area.
MORE CORONAVIRUS NEWS:
Albury Wodonga Health is only testing people if they meet certain criteria, and won't say how many have been undertaken.
The tests are strictly appointment-only and involve a throat and nose swab being taken.
Staff wear extensive protective clothing.
Wangaratta has also had a new testing service open on Norton Street.
"At this stage it's not our protocol to release the numbers that we have been testing," Albury Wodonga Health director pandemic response Sally Squire said.
"Our clinic has been open two weeks and our drive through one day and we are seeing an increasing number of people calling in and receiving tests every day.
"The drive through clinic is an efficient and effective way of keeping our community safe and allowing them access to being tested."
Those who may have been exposed or have symptoms should call their GP or (02) 6058 4444.
