The Gateway Island event will proceed as it is deemed an "essential service" by the Victorian government.
However, there will be no handling of unwanted goods, no samples or tastings and hand washing stations.
One stallholder will be Erin O'Callaghan, of RAD Growers, with her tomatoes, radishes, watermelons, capsicums, carrots and eggs.

Given the coronavirus-induced panic shopping at supermarkets, Ms O'Callaghan hopes consumers enjoy a less stressful atmosphere at the market.
"People need to still eat and need to have something tasty to go with the pasta that's got a use-by date of 2040," she joked in reference to hoarding.
Ms O'Callaghan wants customers to only buy what they will consume over the next week.
