The annual Kiewa/Tangambalanga Lions Club's Milk Run will not go ahead this year due to guidelines currently in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The fun run was scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 19, however organisers are hopeful the event will be back up and running next year.
"This would have been our ninth year but unfortunately we've had to cancel," event organiser Peter Croucher said.
"It's been successful over the years.
"We have tremendous support."

The run usually attracts between 250 to 300 entrants each year.
The Milk Run was first established by Croucher and fellow Tangambalanga Lions Club member Eric Thompson as a way of providing an event for the area.
The fun run now joins a growing list of events in the region which have been forced to shut down in the midst on the COVID-19 pandemic.
