The Victorian man, 21, was caught rocketing down the Hume Freeway at 175 km/h with two friends in the car.
He was pulled over near Woomargama at 3.30am today.
The P-plater had his licence suspended and will have to pay a $1915 fine.
Albury inspector David Cottee said the speed the man was travelling at was “inherently dangerous”.
