A woman has been released without charge as the homicide squad investigates a death in Wodonga.

A 43-year-old Wodonga woman - believed to a migrant from the African nation of the Congo - was found dead at a home on Peeler Street about 8.30pm on Saturday.
A Wodonga woman, 21, was taken into custody at the home but has not been charged.
"A 21-year-old Wodonga woman was arrested at the address however she was released pending further enquiries," Leading Senior Constable Natalie Dean said.

"The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers."
Police have released limited details of the incident, including the identity of the late woman.
A person who knew the family said the woman had recently moved to the area and had a daughter.
There were 10 people living in the house, she said.
Forensic police removed several bags of evidence from the house after the death.
