The Party Unlimited Motorcycle Club's annual Legacy fundraiser, which has raised more than $140,000 since it began 24 years ago, will not go ahead this April 25.
But organisers are confident they may be able to hold it later in the year.
"We are postponing it for now, not cancelling it," member Craig Hastings said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We have such a great bunch of sponsors already on board and people who do the ride every year.
"It is such a great cause so we are hopeful we can hold it later on - but like everything at the moment we just don't know."
Legacy will still receive all proceeds from the event if it goes ahead.
