Her post to Australian Facebook page Bin Isolation Outing amid the coronavirus crisis simply went viral.
Wearing her eldest daughter's Norwegian national costume and a pair of Australian thongs surrounded by stunning mountain and fjord views at Askoy, Mrs Simlenes said she was amazed when her post gained more than 40,000 reactions and almost 5000 comments.
"When I saw how many people liked the post I was in awe," she said.
"It was amazing; I tried writing back and liking the comments people wrote, but it is going to take some time to respond to almost 5000 comments!"

A mum-of-three and human resources manager, Mrs Simlenes said a friend introduced her to the page, which started at Hervey Bay.
"I wanted to post a picture as well, to show support, give people a laugh, and also to say we are in this together," Mrs Simlenes said.
"Social media in times like these is bringing people together in a funny and great way."
Mrs Simlenes said the COVID-19 pandemic was being managed in Norway similar to its Scandinavian neighbour Denmark.
Schools, creches, hairdressers, gyms, physiotherapists, chiropractors and spas closed on March 12.
Childcare facilities reopened this week under strict guidelines while schools (grades 1-4) will return on Monday for reduced hours.
