Outdated laws not designed to cope with a pandemic mean Indigo Council will have to jump through a few hoops, but Tuesday night's meeting will effectively be delayed until next week when it can be conducted remotely via livestream.

The council released its meeting agenda last week, meaning that according to local laws, the meeting could not just be postponed.
Instead, when a quorum cannot be formed on Tuesday - as the majority of councillors have chosen to not meet in person during the coronavirus pandemic - the meeting will be cancelled.
From May 1, councils will be allowed to hold their meetings online, following a decision in Parliament last week.

Mayor Jenny O'Connor said a special council meeting has already been organised for Tuesday next week.
"We will finally be able to have a council meeting. We've just had to wait until we could do it online because the majority of us weren't prepared to meet face-to-face," she said.
"There's a few of these glitches in our local laws because we never anticipated this kind of thing."
Indigo Council last met in March, and will have missed one meeting before April's is held on delay.
"Everything that was on that agenda has come forward to this meeting, so we're basically having two agendas rolled into one, so it's not too bad," Cr O'Connor said.
"From my point of view it was always about the safety and health of councillors and staff being paramount.
"Business has to wait sometimes and this was one of those times."
