And a new talk back hour on the community radio station is hoping to support local businesses doing it tough during the COVID-19 restrictions.
Indigo FM presenter Phil Buerckner said the idea is simply about giving struggling businesses a leg up during this time.
"Businesses in Yackandandah are experiencing some tough times and as a result of that we want to support them as much as we can," he said.
"And we are doing this by offering them a discussion device informing the public how the crisis is affecting them and how they are adapting to the challenges.
"We started on Friday and anticipate having it run five days a week from 10am until 11am.
"Basically it is giving businesses some advertising free of charge."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The small radio station said the segment is all about bringing the community together.
"We know that Yackandandah as a community will always help each other, but this just gives those businesses an outlet to showcase what they are doing," Mr Buerckner said.
"The businesses we have spoken to are seeing a significant downturn of local trade and of course there are no tourists in the area at all.
"We are contacting the business first and letting them know we are about to go to air with them to give them a bit of time to put together some points about what they want to say.
"It is all about giving them more public exposure - we are only a small radio station but it incorporates all of Yack and that is the area which can help the businesses now."
Mr Buerckner said to get involved contact the radio station on 0481 267 269.
"It is about the community ringing in and showing their support as well - and it is drumming up a bit of conversation for those doing the right thing and staying home," he said.
