Murrumbidgee Local Health District director public health Tracey Oakman said the van would be in both towns on Wednesday and Friday, at Lockhart in the mornings and Henty in the afternoons.
"Testing is free for COVID for everyone, including people who might be in that Medicare ineligible (category)," she said.
"Don't not come forward because you think you'll get a bill, it won't happen."
The health district's total of coronavirus cases remained at 45 on Monday from 4377 tests.
MORE CORONAVIRUS NEWS:
The tally of positive tests has not risen since April 16 when an Albury resident who had returned from overseas and was isolating in a Sydney hotel tested positive.
Mrs Oakman said even though some restrictions had eased in NSW, people should still be washing their hands, staying home if they don't need to go out and practising social distancing.
"It's still really important that we maintain some of those habits that we've been learning over the last few months so that we can restrict the spread of the disease," she said.
"You just need to stay away a sneeze or two's distance away from people."
Mrs Oakman said the onset of colder weather could affect the number of coronavirus cases.
"Obviously we do tend to see a lot more of flu in winter, when we have our doors closed and people inside mingling closer, so there is the significant risk that this will also increase the risk of COVID spread," she said.
"But of course again with the social isolating, we're not travelling outside and working from home where possible, then we may be able to mitigate some of that."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Albury Wodonga Health reported no new positive tests at its service, with 1738 patients tested and 2778 screening calls to date.
Director of pandemic response Sally Squire said anyone seeking testing needed to make an appointment to be tested.
"They should call either their GP or Albury Wodonga Health on (02) 6058 4444 to discuss their symptoms and receive an appointment time," she said.
