General manager Sean Barrett said the league has some models in place for a shortened season, but can't look at implementing anything until they have more certainty from the top of the tree.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"We pushed our May board meeting back a couple of days based on the national cabinet meeting and the planned announcements from the AFL (week beginning May 11)," Barrett said.
"We're hoping to have a lot more information after those meetings and then we can restructure our plans or start to formalise those plans more once we know what's going to happen."
With O and M clubs based on both sides of the border, Barrett is hoping there will be some consistency in restrictions set by NSW and Victorian governments if and when the time comes to resume the season.
