Firefighters were called to Kremur Street about 10pm on Thursday.
The car, which was dumped on the side of the road, was destroyed.
In other police news, a woman was rescued from her vehicle on Friday after crashing into a drain near the intersection of Wagga Road and Catherine Crescent in Lavington.
She was taken to hospital.

A driver and passenger also escaped injury at Rutherglen on Thursday night when the car they were in rolled onto its roof.
The vehicle was travelling east on Main Street.
The driver went through a roundabout and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to roll.
The pair got themselves out and neither needed treatment, but the driver received a penalty notice.
One person also had to be rescued after a car crash at Hopefield on Thursday afternoon.
