The Bright resident had taken off from Mystic Hill about 2.30pm on Thursday and spiralled down into large pine and gum trees, leaving her stuck up in the canopy.
A local arborist, SES volunteers and police from the search and rescue squad helped bring the woman down uninjured by about 6pm.
"She was experienced and knew the area well," a police spokesman said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It was just an accident.
"She suffered a wing collapse, which is something paragliders can normally recover from, but she was only a short distance from the ground and landed in the trees."
The woman was uninjured, apart from having a cut to her face, and was cold.
