Peter Miller's Mitsubishi Challenger was gutted by fire next to a dirt road at Mungabareena Reserve on Wednesday morning.
The vehicle had been taken from outside a home in Darke Street in Lavington the previous afternoon, while Mr Miller was running his lawn mowing business.
It was later involved in a police pursuit.
A trailer with most of his equipment was attached to the vehicle and still hasn't been found.
In a further blow, the destroyed car was not insured.
"I'm upset mate, big time," he said from the scene as the vehicle still smouldered.
"I'm not far off crying.
"I had everything in it, my mowing trailer was on it, the wallet was in there, the phone, the whole works."
IN OTHER NEWS:
His friend's baby seats were also in the vehicle.
Firefighters spent about an hour at the scene of the blaze, off the main road leading to the reserve, after members of the public spotted black smoke.
The car and its contents were destroyed.
Mr Miller has run the business for two-and-a-half years and is unsure what to do next.
"I've still got some gear, but not much," he said.
"Nothing's insured.
"It's all up in the air at the moment until I can get things worked out."
He is hopeful someone saw the vehicle or knows who is responsible for the incident.
"(Tuesday) afternoon, about 4.25pm, I walked down into a lady's backyard for my mowing business," Mr Miller said.
"I walked back out and my vehicle was stolen."
Posts were made on social media in a bid to find the car.
The owner was alerted by another post showing black smoke in the area.
Volunteers from the Thurgoona Rural Fire Service attended the blaze about 8.30am.
Mr Miller is also a volunteer.
"I'd like to thank the RFS boys for what they've done," he said.
The fire also burnt a small amount of grass at the scene but was largely confined to the vehicle.
Police attended and are investigating the matter.
