Officers from the Riverina Police District went to a home in Lake Albert about 11am on Friday, June 12, and allegedly located child exploitation material on the man's device.
The device was seized for forensic examination and the 74-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station where he was charged with possessing child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear before Wagga Local Court on Friday, June 12, where he was formally refused bail to appear in the same court today, June 15.
