We just need to make sure the virus does not make its way back up to us from Melbourne.
Ever since Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews introduced the state's distancing rules many months ago, he has rejected the idea of different rules for metro and country areas. Back then, it was for good reason.
The regulations were so strict that Melbourne residents definitely would have flocked up our way every weekend if it meant they had a bit more freedom.
But now things are different.
There is enough flexibility in what people can and cannot do, that regional towns would no longer be a destination for those potentially unaware they had the virus.
Now towns and businesses need the visitors, they need to have the extra patrons in their cafes and restaurants.

It is heartening that Mr Andrews is now open to considering giving us a bit more leeway.
But that consideration needs to be a short one, because business owners are understandably running out of patience.
"They are carrying the can for what is happening in suburbs of Melbourne," Huon Hill Hotel owner Bill Perry told us.
He is absolute right.
Over the past couple of weeks in Melbourne, families have been holding large gatherings where coronavirus has been spreading.
We can keep putting pressure on the government to make sure we do not keep paying for those mistakes, but we can also make sure we do not become the next problem.
Many people on the Border have friends, family or work commitments in Melbourne and the easing of restrictions means there is no longer a limit to travelling there.
They need to use commonsense - if we know the virus is being spread at gatherings, make sure you keep your social distance and stay healthy so you can come back home without coronavirus in tow.
