A spike in COVID-19 cases in Victoria in the past week has seen some restrictions reinforced and could potentially have impacts on community sport.
AWFA president Mark Leman said the association is already planning to stage the first two rounds of the season in Albury under the Football NSW return to play guidelines.
"As things develop in Victoria, we'll adjust to the Victorian guidelines if and when games are played in Victoria," Leman said.

"It's all we can do at this point in time.
"Victoria is a moving target, it keeps changing every day, so until Victoria makes its decisions, we need to be ready to make changes as we see fit. If it means that the whole competition is played in Albury, so be it.
"We'll talk with the clubs to go through those scenarios and make sure they're all on board."
Jelbart Park (Albury City and Albury United), Melrose Park (Melrose), Alexandra Park (St Pats), Glen Park (Boomers) and Aloysius Park (Albury Hotspurs) are the five Albury venues.
Leman is hopeful of having a revised season draw out to clubs by the end of the week.
"We're still working that out. Getting the venues right for everybody is the challenge, but we're getting there." he added.
The AWFA executive will meet with club representatives on Wednesday night to discuss the guidelines for a return to competition play.
