Gerogery man Garry Scott, 56, died in a truck crash in Wodonga on Tuesday night.
Staff at Ron Finemore Transport were in touch with Mr Scott's wife to offer support, which was also being offered to staff.
The crash occurred only a few hundred metres from the company's depot, with his colleagues driving past the site on Wednesday
The westbound truck had hit light poles and trees.
It hit vehicles at the Skoda dealership, before crossing onto the wrong side of the road.
It ran through guardrails and hit a tree.
Paramedics attended but sadly, Mr Scott died at the scene.
VicRoads employees examined the damage on Wednesday, spread across about 350 metres.
Several vehicles at the Skoda dealership were damaged.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Ron Finemore managing director Mark Parry said his thoughts were with Mr Scott's family.
"We're also ensuring we support those who worked with Garry and knew him well," Mr Parry said.
"While it certainly looks like natural causes and a medical event, it doesn't take away the pain in the community of someone passing away, be it a workplace or family. We're just supporting people as best we're able to."
Mr Scott had worked for the business for six years.
Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to make contact.
"It's very sad, especially when it's a local member of our community," Acting Sergeant Sarrah O'Keefe said.
"We're asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers."
There was nothing to suggest speed or fatigue played a role.
The Ron Finemore truck was a new vehicle and was taken back to the company after being removed from the scene 10 hours after the crash.
Heavy haulage vehicles had been required to remove the truck, which came to a stop next to the Murray Valley Motel.
The incident followed a crash at Laceby on June 13, which killed Jamie Drummond and Peter Turner.
Darryl Purdy died after his vehicle hit a tree at Walla three days earlier.
