The 2020 Albury-Wodonga Football Association season has been cancelled two weeks out from its proposed restart date due to COVID-19.
League executives and clubs voted to resume a shortened season on July 12, but it was all turned on its head following a meeting with the club presidents and AWFA officials on Sunday night.

The association's representative program is set to continue with two tournaments planned later in the year.
Confidence was high that a further 10 matches and a two-week finals series could be completed by the end of September, but a spike in cases in Melbourne in the past week was the determining factor.
More to come.
