Four people have been injured with two taken to hospital after suffering animal bites while trying to break up a fight between three dogs in Wagga.
Riverina Police District officers attended Davies Place at about 11am on Tuesday following reports of a dog attack.
"Police have been told two of the dogs jumped a fence and attacked another dog as it was walking past with its owner, a 31-year-old woman," a police statement said.
"Two men - aged 39 and 53 - and a second woman attempted to separate the dogs and were bitten in the process.
"The 31-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries, which were not life threatening."
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said three ambulances attended the incident and the two people taken to hospital had suffered bites to their arms.
The other man and woman sustained minor puncture wounds and did not require hospital treatment.
A police statement said the dogs were seized by council rangers.
