Police are working through several leads as they investigate the shooting of a cow in the North East.

A farmer discovered the dead Black Angus, which was in calf, at Abbeyard on July 5, shot between the eyes.
It died along with the calf, which was due in a few weeks.
Police believe it was shot between midnight and 4am that morning.
It followed an incident between 1pm and 3pm on Buffalo River Road on July 4.
Four men of Middle Eastern appearance door knocked homes and asked to shoot on the properties.
Leading Senior Constable Bernard Murphy said the group was in a white Toyota HiLux with a canopy, and he is investigating whether the incidents are linked.

"The public has been good - they've given a lot of information to me," he said of the vehicle.
"We're trying to trawl through what we've got.
"The incidents could be unrelated, but until there's something to say that, you can't rule it out."
The Myrtleford officer questioned the motive of those involved.
"It's concerning," Leading Senior Constable Murphy said.
"The problem is with the bad shooters out there who ruin it for everyone else.
"There's an issue when people start taking shots from the side of the road.
"For what reason would you shoot a cow beside a road?"
He has been checking information from the public about white Toyota HiLuxes, but said no direct witnesses had come forward.
The region is frequented by large numbers of deer hunters, many of whom have similar vehicles.
Some vehicles have been ruled out by police and others require further investigation.
