Corowa-Rutherglen captain Hayden Filliponi has handed outgoing coach Marc Almond the greatest compliment a player can.
"He's the best coach I've been under, not only tactically but, from a personal point of view, he gets along with every single player in our team," Filliponi said.
"He treats everyone equally, whether you're playing seconds or ones, he's been really good for our club."

The 25-year-old has captained the Roos for the past four years, the last two under Almond, with the latter's extensive player review system winning over the group.
"He brought the information back to us on a Monday and had so many points on what we can do," the skipper said.

To highlight Almond's influence on the midfielder, he claimed his first best and fairest win in 2018 after two runner-up finishes, including one as a 17-year-old.
Filliponi debuted for the Roos in 2011.
