The long-awaited Baranduda Fields precinct is pushing ahead, with the design of the soccer pavilion tender to be awarded by Wodonga Council on Monday night.

It is recommended the architectural contract be awarded to Melbourne-based company Canvas Projects for $236,850.
The contract for the pavilion design will last from August 1 until January 31, 2021.
"Seventeen conforming tenders were lodged which has led to a competitive price being obtained," the council report said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Following a detailed evaluation of all tenders by the evaluation team it was determined that the Canvas Projects offered the best option to council for the delivery of this project."
The pavilion is part of stage one of the multi-million dollar project along with civil works, two soccer fields, an AFL field, two netball courts and AFL netball changerooms.
Councillors will vote on the recommendation at the monthly meeting on Monday night.
