The Wagga diocese stretches across Albury.
Bishop Edwards, 61, was announced as the new bishop of the Wagga diocese in late May, over three-and-a-half years after his predecessor Bishop Gerard Hanna retired due to ill health.
IN OTHER NEWS:
He will be installed as the sixth bishop of Wagga in a liturgical reception at St Michael's Cathedral on Wednesday morning, July 22.
As social distancing restrictions continue to impact church events, the service will be restricted to a small number of guests, however it will be livestreamed from 10.45am.
The livestream will be available here and on the Wagga Catholic Diocese website.
