Now the Poms have weighed in.
Really who cares? We have a mature market in Australia where the consumer makes informed decisions and does not take long to sort out personal preferences.
In fact, the losers are those that prohibit.
There is the old saying that you should always look after existing customers before seeking new ones.
In the future, you may not be able to buy a Scotch fillet by name and who cares.
It is highly unlikely that Australian consumers really think the fillet steak comes from Scotland.
Why not call the cut of meat new fillet and scotch the criticism.
FUEL REDUCTION
So helpful in the middle of winter, where there is a fight to keep warm and ward off any impending virus, is a warning that East Gippsland is tipped to become a burning inferno over summer.
We need to "brace ourselves" as "East Gippsland was the only Victorian region with unburnt vegetation, particularly in the north, west and along coastal strips." What! The stated cause is that the region has had drought for three years making it a potential tinderbox. But hang on, isn't it rain that promotes a fuel load of undergrowth. Well, at least global warming was not blamed. How about right now we plan that there is potential high risk of major fires in any area from late spring on?
The community cry is for more fuel reduction burning that, yes, comes with risk and the hazard of the skies being full of smoke.
