A Melburnian who had work undertaken on her Wodonga home without alerting the tradespeople she'd come from the city will be fined.
Police on Tuesday confirmed a penalty would be given for the incident, which forced Border Heating and Cooling to close while staff underwent COVID-19 tests.
Police have also fined a Broadmeadows man $1652 after he drove to Beechworth in an unregistered car in a bid to give his Albury friend a lift to Melbourne.

The driver was caught on Friday and had no valid reason to travel to the area.
Senior Sergeant Chris Parr said automatic number plate technology was used to find cars from out of town.
"If people see something, they should say something," he said.
"We've got dedicated units in the border bubble and other areas, concentrating on keeping our community safe.
"If people let us know we can act on it."
