Beer made the eight hour round trip to Forbes with six runners.
Ridden by Jordan Mallyon, The Lioness made a winning debut in the $22,000 Maiden Hcp, (1100m).
A drifter in the betting, The Lioness started as a $10-chance.

After settling back in the field The Lioness surged to the front at the 100m to score by half-a-length.
The three-year-old filly is a daughter of Exosphere.
The filly finished midfield in a trial at Narrandera last month in her only public outing.
Meanwhile Beer has nominated three runners for Canberra on Friday including last-start winner Damselfly's Kept.
Damselfly's Kept made a winning return at Leeton last month.
