TRAINER Mitch Beer concedes he was just as gobsmacked as most punters after Jawwaal produced one of the biggest winning margins ever witnessed at Albury racecourse on Tuesday.

Jawwaal donkey-licked his rivals by 11.3-lengths in the $22,000 Benchmark 66 Hcp, (1175m) with Josh Richards aboard.
Ironically, Jawwaal was on the receiving end of a similar pasting when the Geoff Duryea-trained Front Page won by 9.5-lengths at Albury in May.
Beer joked that he wouldn't be contacting Duryea and asking for a rematch with Front Page who has since won in listed grade at Flemington.
"There will be no rematch, I can assure you of that," Beer said.
"I don't think Jawwaal is going to go to Flemington and win a listed race
"But if we keep him fresh and racing over the shorter trips, he will certainly be winning more races.
"I did fancy his chances on Tuesday but I was blown away by the winning margin.
"I certainly haven't had one win like that before and normally mine are getting beat by 11-lengths instead."
Jawwaal was previously trained by Team Hayes with the son of Snitzel an $800,000 purchase at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sales.
Beer purchased Jawwaal for $30,000 as a tried horse after 10-starts for Hayes for one win and four minor placings.
Jawwaal had notched one further win for Beer before Tuesday from 13 attempts.
Beer said a recent change in the gelding's training routine was instrumental in the stunning turnaround.
"All preparation I have been trying to get the horse to settle and run a trip," he said.
"I took the blinkers off and instructed him to be ridden quite in his races
"He flew home in a TAB Highway at Rosehill and ran fourth.
"I then took him to Dubbo, he was ridden quite again, had no luck and should've bolted in.
"He then raced over a mile at Leeton, went flat and I was disappointed."

Beer said the lacklustre performance at Leeton had left him second guessing himself.
"After Leeton it made me second guess myself and I thought I was barking up the wrong tree," he said.
"So from Leeton to now he has only had a saddle on him twice.
"The horse has just swum and trotted on the treadmill.
"I gave him a gallop on the morning of the race with the blinkers on just to spark him a bit.
"I've been doing something similar with Logan River and he also won last start.
"I've learnt that you don't have to have your horses tearing around the track everyday to get them fit and there is other ways to do it."
