As part of an amalgamation working party model unveiled to Upper Murray clubs on Monday night, it was recommended the Corryong Recreation Reserve host the majority of matches.
Two or three matches would be scheduled for Cudgewa in April each year to avoid a clash with The Man from Snowy River Festival.
It has been proposed that the new entity be called the Upper Murray Football Netball Club with the colours, uniforms and song to be determined by community feedback.
An amalgamated club would field senior and reserve grade and under 17, 14 and 12 football sides and A, B and C grade and under 17, 15, 13 and 11 netball.
The number of football matches played each year would balloon from 45 to 72 under the amalgamation.
AFL North East Border regional general manager John O'Donohue believes the working party has come up with a strong alternative to the present struggling format.

"It's a pretty sound participation model," O'Donohue said.
"There is still some work to be done but I think it's heading in the right direction.
"It's about the participation opportunities which would increase with the number of games available."
AFL NEB will be taking feedback on the recommendations until September 3.

The working party acknowledged that not all netballers in the Upper Murray would get a game and believed additional opportunities needed to be pursued in other competitions.
The Tallangatta and District league has been involved in several discussions.
