The game's governing body recently handed down its stance on the salary cap and points for 2021.
Five of the league's 10 clubs will retain the extra points they would have had if the 2020 season hadn't been wiped out by COVID-19.
Corowa-Rutherglen (46), Wodonga, North Albury (44) and Myrtleford, Wangaratta Rovers (40) will have an advantage over the other five, which sit on 38 points.
But AFLNEB region general manager John O'Donohue quickly shot down talk players in the league should also lose an individual player point, as per a 'normal 'season.
