Sadly, 24 people have died of coronavirus-related causes in that time.
The 24 deaths recorded is the state's second-highest single day toll since the start of the pandemic. The only other day with more coronavirus deaths recorded was August 17, when there were 25.

On Tuesday, Victoria reported 148 cases following on from Monday's tally of 116 new cases, which was the state's lowest daily tally since early July.

An audit of a Travelodge Hotel in Surry Hills uncovered the deficiencies, with police making the decision to relocate the returned travellers to more suitable accommodation at various hotels across the city.
