The Department of Health and Human Services released the information this morning.
The number follows 149 new cases on Wednesday, when Victoria saw its second deadliest single day since the start of the pandemic with 24 deaths.
The only other day with more coronavirus deaths recorded was August 17, when there were 25.
On Tuesday, Victoria reported 148 cases following on from Monday's tally of 116 new cases, which was the state's lowest daily tally since early July.
