"It is exciting to see this project entering the next stage," Victorian Liberal Senator Jane Hume said.
"This project will include the construction of a dual-court indoor stadium and will also see Galvin Hall refurbished to become a modern community arts centre, furnished with full kitchen facilities and rehearsal spaces for theatre and performance group.
"The construction of this stadium will not only be an asset for the senior college, but will provide the Wodonga community another space to train, rehearse, play and perform sports and arts."

The college spent five years lobbying for financial support for the project from other sources before the funding promise was made.
The 1971 hall, which was named after long-serving teacher John Galvin, will be turned into a state-of-the-art performing arts centre.
Principal Vern Hilditch said there would also be $2 million from local fundraising dedicated to the project.
"Galvin Hall was built in the 1970s and it's the last remaining building in the school which hasn't been refurbished." he said.
He hoped a start could be made in late November.
"The week beginning November 9 is when we need Galvin Hall for VCE examinations, so the second week of November we would hope things get underway," he said.
