Of seven active cases in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, two are related to people isolating in Sydney.
They have residential addresses in the Carrathool and Temora local government areas.
While the other five people are no longer infectious, they cannot be deemed recovered until their symptoms clear up.
Patients who have completed their self-isolation undergo interviews with the public health unit every three weeks to check on their symptoms to determine their recovery status.
The number of COVID-19 cases in MLHD remains at 56 since the pandemic began.
A total of 56,740 tests have been conducted in the Murrumbidgee region, an increase of 728 in the past 24 hours.
Albury Wodonga Health has recorded 59 days with no positive test results done by their clinic - 48 tests were done on Tuesday.
