The Border outfit heads to Leeton on Saturday to face Wagga City in the preliminary final for a chance to play the Phantoms a week later in the decider.
COVID-19 restrictions prevented the Steamers from travelling to Wagga at the start of the season, which included their home and away clash against Wagga City, so there will be no form line for either side.
"We want to head out there and get a feel for their side," Seton said.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"Because we haven't played against them yet, we want to see how it is when we swing it out wide or when we bash it up the middle and move on from there.
"It was sad we had a bit of a fallback and missed out on those couple of games at the start, but we're starting to get into the groove now playing with each other."
Besides the forfeit in the opening round, the Steamers have only dropped the one game to minor premiers Leeton and enter the clash full of confidence.
Seton added he has relished the role as captain having been appointed in June prior to the season restart.
"I'm really enjoying it. It's great being part of this club and it's pretty cool having people look up to you like that," he said.
"Having older guys like Ryan O'Sullivan showing me how to talk to the boys has been really helpful."
Kick-off is at 1.45pm.
