Gemma Ivey has run giftware store The Bright Table for five years after relocating from Perth and believes she has "fallen through every crack in the government" being a sole trader.
"I think a lot of people think the government is helping businesses, but not every business has had help," Ms Ivey said.
"If we had employees or were a proprietary limited company, we would have a lot more help.

"We missed out on bushfire grants and COVID grants.
"Maybe it's good our lease is up (next year) because it gives us some options."
However, Ms Ivey was thrilled to welcome more customers than she's had in months across the weekend.
"We've had people from Beechworth, Mooroopna and a lady from Wallan," she added.
"I haven't given up yet. Hopefully pre-Christmas will be good because people can't really go away."
