It's Me made it three wins in as many starts with an arrogant three-length romp in the $75,000 TAB Highway Handicap, (1000m).
It's Me firmed from $9 into $3.50 outright favouritism for the Kosciuszko, run at Randwick on October 17.
The Geoff Duryea-trained Front Page remains the $4.50 second elect after finishing runner-up behind From Within at Caulfield on Saturday.
Resuming from a nine week break Front Page made a solid return to racing when beaten by just under one length.
The Mitch Beer-trained Redouble won a trial at Wagga on Saturday and will target the Koscuiszko first-up from a spell.
Beer said he was mindful that It's Me won against moderate opposition and will face a must stiffer task in the Koscuiszko against the best country trained sprinters in NSW.
"It was an impressive win by It's Me but I would love to be able to race Redouble in a Class Three Highway," Beer said.
"No doubt she looks smart but it's nice to have a horse like Redouble that has already proven himself at a better level.
"Lord Von Costa and Redouble are proven in listed company.
"I certainly wouldn't be jumping off the Front Page bandwagon either.
"I thought it was a decent run first-up and there is no doubt Geoff will have him ready to peak on grand final day.
"Don't worry, there is a lot of water to go under the bridge yet."

Jockey Lewis German felt Front Page would be better suited once he got to 1200m where he has won in listed grade.
"I was very happy with his run," German told Racing.com
"But at this level I think 1200m is a touch better for him, they are just a little bit sharp for him over 1100m."
Beer said Redouble would trial between races at Albury Racing Club's next meeting on October 10.
It will be his final hit-out ahead of the $1.3-million feature.
"Redouble is a funny horse and only does the bare minimum," he said.
"When he hit the front in the trial on Saturday he pricked his ears and had a good look around.
"But he is a different horse with a set of blinkers which will go on for the Koscuiszko.
"He pulled-up terrific on Sunday morning.
"He will gallop between races at Albury's next meeting as his final hit-out before the Koscuiszko."
Redouble is considered a $17-chance in pre-post markets.
While Lord Von Costa is at $21.
