Albury mayor Kevin Mack, Wodonga mayor Anna Speedie, tourism chief Sue Harper and business owners impacted by the NSW-Victoria border closure will be among the guests on the show from 9pm.
"This border area highlights the best and worst of how pandemic politics works for regional Australia," Mr Murray said.
"Five minutes to midnight they decide one side of the street is the good guys and one side of the street is the bad guys despite the fact everyone living there knows my brother is on this side of town and the doctor is on that side of town.
"But people in Sydney and Melbourne, the decision makers, don't compute that and put in these harsh decisions.
"I like that the NSW government did the right thing in the end despite taking a long time to get there.
"Compare that to the rubbish still going on in Queensland."
He said state governments had over-reached into peoples lives with the hard border closures.
"I'm not a pandemic denier and rabid anti-masker, but I am someone who believes it is not the right or role of our governments to get in the way of how we see our friends, how we do our work and when we get to see our families," he said.
"It always annoys me, particularly in Victoria where they've just let Wodonga off the hook, as if they were the middle of Melbourne."
Mr Murray was particularly keen to speak to people still hurting from the border closure and also get the message out that this region was now open for business and pay a visit.
The last time Mr Murray brought his program to the region was during the 2016 federal election campaign and hosted a candidates forum at the Pinsent Hotel in Wangaratta when former independent MP Cathy McGowan and her predecessor Sophie Mirabella sparred over hospital funding.
An allegation the Liberal candidate also pushed Ms McGowan out of the way of a photo opportunity at a Benalla nursing home was also discussed.
