Border residents have been warned to expect delays along the Hume Freeway when Regional Roads Victoria undertakes essential bridge works next week.

One lane will be closed on the freeway northbound towards Albury from High Street through to the Bandiana Link Road, from 9am to 3pm next Wednesday and Thursday.
One lane will be open for traffic headed to the border with a set speed of 40kmh.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Both lanes southbound will remain open, with speed reduced to 80kmh.
The Department of Transport and Regional Roads Victoria suggested drivers allow five minutes extra time for their journey.
