Miles is likely to relocate to the Border next month after informing Gold Coast teammates on Wednesday of his decision to retire from AFL after 88 matches.
The 28-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year contract with the Tigers and will share the coaching with Luke Daly.
Albury stalwart Tom McGrath volunteered to relinquish his position as co-coach after Miles expressed interest in the position.

"I've deliberated over it for a while now and looking at Albury from afar they are a very well run organisation," Miles said.
"I see it as a really exciting list.
"They have a good mix of young guys coming through as well as some experienced players who will go down as some of the greats of the Ovens and Murray.
"It's going to be a great club to be involved with."
Miles was on the recruiting radar of rival Ovens and Murray clubs North Albury and Yarrawonga.
Tiger board member Dom Star was in Miles' wedding party and played a big role in luring the centreman to the Albury Sportsground.
"Dom's a really good mate of mine and has probably been in my ear for five years now," he said.
"I'm just really excited by the next chapter in life for Laura and myself.
"It probably hasn't been your typical 10-year AFL career because I would have loved to have played 200 matches and won flags but at the same time I wouldn't change it for the world.
"I've been at three clubs and met some fantastic people and feel it shaped me as a man as well.
"In terms of the 10 years, I've loved every minute of it."
Miles endured a horror final season at Gold Coast after tearing his pectoral muscle in the gym during pre-season training in February.
He missed five months before returning to play well in scratch matches over the past six weeks.
Daly said Miles would be an enormous acquisition on and off the ground at Albury.
"He's going to be fantastic for our club," Daly said.
"His track record in the AFL speaks for itself and our players will be able to absorb his knowledge of the game.
"We're really excited he's going to be joining us as he brings so much experience and he's a great person."
McGrath will coach Albury's thirds while Stuart Thompson will remain at the helm of the reserves.
Daly described McGrath's offer to step down as senior coach as "completely selfless".
"That's the type of person Tommy is," he said.
"Tommy indicated that if there was a possibility to attract someone like Anthony to the club he would step aside. It just shows what the club means to him."
Miles made his AFL debut for Greater Western Sydney in round four, 2012, and was delisted after 10 matches at the end of 2013, before joining Richmond and playing some of the best football of his career over 61 matches.
Miles switched to Gold Coast in 2019 and tallied 17 games.
Miles won the VFL's J.J. Liston Trophy in 2018 as well as reserve grade best and fairests at Richmond in 2017 and 2018.
The recruitment of Miles comes only a fortnight after Jeff Garlett extended his contract for another three seasons at the sportsground.
