Two men's committal for sentence over a carjacking in Albury has been delayed because their lawyer was refused entry to Sydney's Long Bay jail.

Sydney solicitor Abbas Soukie has told Albury Local Court he had planned on visiting one of the men, Giuseppe Gugliandolo.
But when he arrived, he said via a video link to Sydney, he was turned away.

Mr Soukie said he needed to see Gugliandolo so he could take instructions from him after giving him a copy of the agreed Director of Public Prosecutions facts.

He anticipated only a short adjournment was required, which DPP representative Lisa Hanshaw backed.
"I anticipate the matters are going to be committed for sentence on the 29th of September," she said.
Gugliandolo and Joshua Daniel Vanderventer are facing numerous charges over an incident from October last year
It has been alleged Gugliandolo wielded a tomahawk and a knife during a string of offences across Albury.
