But, Albury mayor Kevin Mack said there had been some unexpected delays in a process which goes back more than a year.
"It has been dragged out even further with problems in the Federal Court and with the liquidator," he said.
"We've had recent inquiries from people who are still owed money.
"Once we find out where the liquidation sits and what that look likes in terms of returns to the contractors it is still definitely on the table.
"It will be raised with council at the right time."
