The Kangaroos have had an extraordinary start to their off-season with head of football performance Lappin, Jarred Moore, Heath Scotland, Will Minson and Michael Firrito not set to continue in their roles for 2021.
The club also sacked senior assistant coach Jade Rawlings - the brother of football boss Brady Rawlings - with two years left on a three-season deal.
North also delisted 11 players last week.
The Kangaroos won just three games and only avoided the wooden spoon to Adelaide on percentage.
Lappin joined the club as a development coach for the 2010 season.
