"I'm going to burn the house down of the ---- sleeping with my missus," he told the victim and a few hours later, he did just that.
Daley was seen on CCTV near the home at the time of the incident, ranting about the affair and fire, which took nearly two hours to extinguish.
Police saw him on Griffith Road the next day and said he was under arrest.
"I know, it's because I burnt that ----'s house down," he said.

Albury Local Court on Tuesday heard the huge alcohol intake was a daily occurrence for the Wagga Road man.
He told magistrate Richard Funston he was institutionalised, was keen to be sentenced, and didn't want to serve time on parole as he would quickly breach it.
When he first appeared in court following the blaze, Daley screamed and fought with custody officers, and smashed a video link machine.
"We could hear you everywhere .. you were behaving appalling Mr Daley," the magistrate said.
While Daley was often calm and polite in court on Wednesday, his attitude at times changed and led to outbursts and swearing.
When asked what he wanted to say about the blaze, Daley replied "not a real lot your honour".
He said he had given up on seeking treatment for his mental health.
"I just get slapped in the face, so why bother?" he said when asked what help he needed.
While he claimed to have no family, telling the magistrate "I'm on my Pat Malone", his sister was in court and told him to calm down when he became agitated.
"F--- me," he replied.
The magistrate imposed a six-month jail term, followed by six months of parole, noting the serious mental health issues Daley had suffered.
"I've dealt with you very leniently Mr Daley ... I know that life's been pretty hard on you," Mr Funston said.
Daley attempted self-harm about a month ago and appeared in court via a video link to hospital.
He will be eligible for release in February.
