Probationary constables Hayley Melchert, Michael Guy and Nickolas Burma started this week, having joined the force from a range of areas and backgrounds.
Constable Melchert said the training at the police academy was physically demanding, but she was keen to get stuck into the role.

"I wanted something challenging," she said.
"I like that no two days are the same, every day is different."
Superintendent Paul Smith welcomed the recruits to the area, who have started in general duties.
"Every additional police officer we have is an asset to the whole community," he said.
A fourth officer also started at Deniliquin this week.
